Friday Dua For Different Times
On the day of Jummah, different supplications (duas) are mentioned for different times. While prayers can be made at any moment, and every supplication has its own virtue, according to various books and sources, these are some of the recommended duas that are recited on this blessed day.
Friday Dua just Before Fajr
(As narrated by Shaykh al-Tusi and Sayyid Ibn Tawus in Mafatih al-Jinan and other classical texts)
This supplication, recited just before dawn on Friday, emphasizes the dangers of relying solely on one’s own intelligence and seeks Allah’s guidance, wisdom, and divine support in all matters.
O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and grant me Your pleasure this morning. Place the fear of You in my heart and detach it from reliance on anyone but You, so that I neither hope in nor fear anyone except You. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, and grant me unwavering certainty in faith, absolute sincerity, honorable belief in Your oneness, steadfastness, patience, and contentment with Your decree and destiny. O Fulfiller of needs, O Knower of the hidden thoughts of the silent, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family, accept my supplication, forgive my sins, expand my sustenance, and fulfill my needs, as well as the needs of my brothers in faith and my family. O my Lord, all hopes fail except those placed in You, all ambitions fade except those directed towards You, and all intellects seek true understanding only through You. You are the ultimate hope, and to You is the final refuge. O Most Generous One sought and Most Gracious One asked, I flee to You with my very soul. O Shelter of those who flee burdened with sins, I carry them upon my back and find no intercessor for myself except my knowledge that You are the closest to those who seek You and the most hoped-for by those in need. O One who has opened minds through recognition of You, made tongues fluent in Your praise, and provided for Your servants the means to fulfill their duties to You, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family. Do not give Satan any power over my mind, nor allow falsehood to misguide my deeds.

Friday Dua at Fajr
I begin this morning seeking the protection of Allah, the protection of His angels, the protections of His prophets and messengers, peace be upon them, the protection of Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household, and the protections of the Successors from Muhammad’s progeny, peace be upon them. I believe in the secrets of Muhammad’s progeny, peace be upon them, and in their open affairs, in their exoteric and esoteric affairs. I bear witness that they, regarding their knowledge of Allah and their obedience to Him, are just like Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household.
It is said that whoever recites the following litany three times before the Fajr prayer on Friday will have all their sins forgiven, even if they are as countless as the foams of the sea.
“I seek forgiveness from Allah, besides Whom there is no god; the Ever-Living, the Ever-Sustaining, and I turn to Him in repentance.”
It is mentioned in Al-Arus by Jafar ibn Ahmad al-Qummi that Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said: Whoever recites the following one hundred times between the Dawn Nafila (2 Rak’ahs before Fajr) and the obligatory Fajr prayer will be granted a house in Paradise:
“All glory be to Allah, the All-Great, and with the Praising of Him ,I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, and turn to Him in repentance.”
Additionally, it is recommended to recite Surah al-Jumu’ah (62) in the first Rakah of the Fajr prayer and Surah al-Tawhid (112) in the second Rakah.
Friday Duas and Acts After Salaat-ul Fajr
This act should be performed at least once a month. It is also narrated that whoever engages in devotional acts, supplications, and invocations after the Dawn Prayer on Fridays until sunrise will be elevated by seventy ranks in the Supreme Paradise.
O Allah, whatever saying I have uttered this week, whatever oath I have taken during it, and whatever vow I have made during it, verily, it is Your will that is before all that. Hence, only that which You will to have effect will come to pass, and whatever You do not will to have effect will never come to pass. O Allah, (please) forgive me and overlook my offenses. O Allah, whosoever You bless, then I invoke Your blessings upon him, and whosoever You curse, then I invoke Your curse upon him.
This supplication, recorded by Shaykh al-Tusi, is highly recommended after the Dawn Prayer on Fridays. It is a powerful prayer of humility and complete reliance on Allah’s mercy, seeking divine assistance in both worldly and eternal affairs.
O Allah, I am resorting to You with my needs, and I am putting in Your presence my poverty, my indigence, and my deprivation. Verily, I hope for Your forgiveness more than I rely on my deeds. Indeed, Your forgiveness and Your mercy are more inclusive than my sins. So, (please) embark on settling all my needs out of Your power over them, out of the easiness for You to do that, and out of my urgent need for that. Verily, I have not gained any good thing save from You, and none could ever repel evil from me save You. I hope for none to stand for me in my affairs of this world and the Next World and on the day of my poverty, when people will leave me alone in my grave, and I will then confess my sins before You, except You.
It has been narrated that whoever recites this invocation after the Dhuhr and Fajr Prayers on Fridays, as well as on other days, will be granted the honor of meeting Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) before their passing. Additionally, repeating this supplication one hundred times is said to result in the fulfillment of sixty requests thirty in this world and thirty in the Hereafter.
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and hasten their Relief.
It is encouraged to recite Surah al-Rahman after Fajr on Fridays. Whenever the verse “Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?” appears, one should respond with:
“None of Your favors do I deny,” Surah al-Rahman (55)
Recitation of Surah al-Kafirun (109):
It is also recommended to recite Surah al-Kafirun ten times before sunrise and then pray to Almighty Allah so that all supplications will be answered.
Recitation of Ayat al-Kursi (Surah al-Baqarah 2:255):
It has been narrated that Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn Zayn al-
Abidin (peace be upon him) used to repeatedly recite Ayat al-Kursi until “hum feeha khalidoon” from early morning up to midday on Fridays.
Recitation of Surah al-Qadr (97):
After completing the obligatory prayers, he would frequently recite Surah al-Qadr.
Friday Dua at the Time of Dhuhr
There is no god save Allah. Allah is the Most Great. Glory be to Allah. All praise be to Allah Who has not taken to Himself a son, nor has He had any partner in sovereignty, nor does He need any to protect Him from humiliation, and magnify Him for His greatness and glory.
O Conferrer of boon amply! O Repeller of troubles! O Maker of souls! O Sublime in determinations! O Coverer [of daylight] with darkness! O Lord of magnanimity and nobility! O Remover of harm and pains! O Entertainer of those lonely in darkness! O All-knowing Who never needs teaching! (Please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and do to me all that which befits You.
O He Whose Name is remedy, the remembrance of Whom is cure, and the obedience to Whom is sufficiency, (please) have mercy upon him whose wealth is only hope [for You] and whose weapon is only weeping. Glory be to You. There is no god save You. O All-Tender, O All-Bestower, O Fashioner of the heavens and the earth, O Lord of majesty and honor.

O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and hasten their Relief.
Reciting Special Salawat 100 Times
The blessings of Allah, His angels, His prophets, His messengers, and all of His creatures be upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad. And peace be upon him and them, and upon their souls and bodies. And Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon them.
The esteemed scholar Ibn Idris has cited in his book Al-Sara’ir that it is recorded in Jami* by Al-Bizaniti, on the authority of Abu-Basir, that *Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: “Invoking Almighty Allah’s blessings upon the Prophet and his Household between the Dhuhr and `Asr prayers on Friday is equivalent to the reward of seventy Hajj pilgrimages.”
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad—the Successors and the pleased—with the best of Your blessings, and confer upon them the best of Your favors. And peace be upon them, and upon their souls and bodies, and may Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon them.
In Al-Kafi, Shaykh al-Kulayni narrates that when one recites the following invocation after `Asr on Friday, Almighty Allah will record for him one hundred thousand rewards, erase one hundred thousand sins, grant him one hundred thousand requests, and elevate him one hundred thousand ranks.
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad—the Successors and the pleased—with the best of Your blessings, and confer upon them the best of Your favors. And peace be upon him and them, and may Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon them.
It is recommended to repeat the following seventy times after the `Asr Prayer to seek forgiveness:
I pray for the forgiveness of Allah and I repent before Him.
Shaykh al-Tusi mentions that the last hour of Friday, which lasts until sunset, is the time when prayers are answered. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to pray fervently during this time.
Glory be to You! There is no god save You! O All-Tender! O All-Bestower! O Fashioner of the heavens and the earth! O Lord of Majesty and Honor!
Friday Dua of Imam Zainul Abideen (Peace Be Upon Him)

In the Name of Allah, the All-Beneficent, the All-Merciful. All praise be to Allah, the First before the bringing forth and the giving of life, and the Last after the annihilation of all things. He is the All-Knowing, Who forgets not him who remembers Him, decreases not him who thanks Him, disappoints not him who supplicates Him, and cuts not off the hope of him who hopes in Him. O Allah, I call You to witness, and You are sufficient Witness, and I call to witness all Your angels, the inhabitants of Your heavens, the bearers of Your Throne, Your prophets and messengers whom You have sent out, and the various kinds of creatures You have brought forth, that I bear witness that You are Allah; there is no god but You, You alone, Who have no associate nor any equal, and Your word has no failing, nor any change. And that Muhammad, Allah bless him and his Household, is Your servant and Your messenger; he delivered to the servants that with which You charged him, struggled for Allah as is His due, gave the good news of the truth of reward, and warned of the veracity of punishment. O Allah, make me firm in Your religion as long as You keep me alive, make not my heart swerve after You have guided me, and give me mercy from You, surely, You are the All-Bestower. Bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, make me one of his followers and his partisans, muster me in his band, and grant me success in fulfilling the obligatory acts of Fridays and the obedience You have enjoined on that day, and the rewards You have set aside for its people on the Day of Recompense. Surely, You are the Almighty, the All-Wise.
