About Alkawthar Community Centre
The Alkawthar Community Centre was established to fulfill the needs of the Muslim community in Calgary, particularly focusing on children and youth. Initially, the community hosted Islamic functions in homes and rented spaces, but the growing demand led to the purchase of a dedicated facility in May 2011.
The centre promotes the teachings and values of Islam according to the Ahlul Bayt School of Thought, aiming to create a healthy, social, and fulfilling Islamic environment for its members and to increase awareness of Islam among non-Muslims.
